Grass Valley’s Kaleido-IP Video Multiviewer Helps TV 2 Norway Amplify IP Capability
TV 2 provides a range of programming including news, sports, entertainment, children’s programming, TV series, movies, and magazine shows. It is extending a longstanding partnership with Grass Valley so that it can handle more high-quality content across multiple platforms to meet growing demand from its audience.

Kaleido-IP provides TV 2 with an easy transition from its current SMPTE ST2022-6 to the latest SMPTE ST2110 IP capability. The new deployment will give the broadcaster access to high density inputs, simultaneous video and audio program decodes and ultra-low latency processing.

With its user-friendly layout creation and editor, Kaleido IP supports a wide range of codecs, as well as uncompressed video and audio for monitoring any IP source. All video streams can be displayed through this solution, multiple times, at different resolutions and sizes up to full screen on the multiviewer outputs, creating reliable and high-quality MCR operations.
The project is due to go live by 4Q 2021 and the sale was via GV’s regional channel partner, Mediability.
