Matrox Video introduced two new additions to its developer product portfolio: Matrox X.mio5 12G, a multichannel SDI I/O card with onboard video processing, and Matrox DSX LE5 12G, a multichannel SDI I/O card.

The developer cards are the first to offer reconfigurable, high-density 12G/3G SDI connectivity, enabling OEMs to build advanced broadcast media and entertainment solutions for today’s most demanding and creative multi-channel 4K and HDR requirements.
The Matrox X.mio5 12G card provides multi-channel 12G/3G SDI I/O for 4K workflows, featuring four 12G inputs, four 12G outputs, and four 3G reconfigurable I/O, or 12 completely reconfigurable 3G I/Os. The Matrox X.mio5 12G card also features on-board multichannel HDR conversions along with motion adaptive de-interlacing, pristine scaling, and powerful compositing engines, making it the complete solution for 4K HDR workflows.

Meanwhile, the Matrox DSX LE5 12G card offers the same high-density I/O support for systems requiring multi-channel 12G/3G SDI connectivity only. Both of these 12G cards are supported by the robust, field-proven Matrox DSX SDK, ensuring rapid application development and system deployment of next-generation broadcast graphics systems, channel-in-a-box platforms, and capture/playout video servers.

Matrox Monarch LCS video encoding appliances make live webcasting simple, delivering high-quality streams to Facebook Live, YouTube, or content delivery networks (CDNs) with multi-camera production value. Coupled with the award-winning Matrox X.mio5 Q25 NIC card — featuring 25GbE and 10GbE interfaces for SMPTE ST 2110 I/O from HD to 4K, with zero CPU usage — these latest additions add to the industry’s most diverse selection of SMPTE ST 2110 and SDI hardware for OEMs.

Matrox SMPTE ST 2110-compliant IP cards boast multi-channel, IP-encapsulated HD and 3G video I/O with onboard processing and up to 12 reconfigurable SDI I/Os supporting SD through 4K/UHD resolutions.

Matrox M264 codec cards offer high-density H.264 encoding and decoding from HD to 4K. The M264 family supports multi-channel 4K production codecs, including Sony XAVC and Panasonic AVC-Ultra with HDR metadata, and up to 30 channels of AVC-Intra for HD. Taking advantage of the IP infrastructure, OEMs can combine M264 with X.mio5 Q25 cards to build powerful broadcast encoding, decoding, and server applications with unprecedented I/O density for HD, 3G, and 4K in a single PC platform.

Matrox Maevex 6120 and Maevex 6150 multi-channel 4K enterprise encoders allow for the simultaneous capture, streaming, and recording of up to four 4K inputs. These powerful all-in-one appliances can feed cloud-based servers to reach internet viewers, push many streams over LAN for audiences on-premises, and record to local or network storage for later editing and viewing, concurrently. The Panopto-certified Matrox Maevex 6020 Remote Recorder meanwhile, supports dual Full HD channels of live video, with up to five recordings of different qualities per channel for the Panopto video platform.

Matrox Extio 3 IP KVM extenders deliver exceptional 4Kp60 4:4:4 or quad 1080p60 4:4:4 performance over a standard 1GbE network at unprecedentedly low bitrates.
