ITS America Intros Kronos HD Plug and Play HD-SDI Video Timestamper

ITS America has introduced Kronos HD Model 6041K, a plug and play HD-SDI video timestamper, available now for $1,799. Kronos HD is a “set and forget,” small form-factor, ruggedized and weather tolerant device, with an in-to-out processing latency of less than 2 microseconds. The unit may be ordered with a tri-level camera sync output (6041K-CS) that phase locks the sync pulse train to either time reference.

Kronos accurately embeds timestamps in KLV metadata, SMPTE VITC time code and can also overlay the time in real time — with no discernable latency. Additional key features include:

• Kronos accepts timestamp 720p 1080i 1080p video, at frame rates of 25, 29.97, 30, 50, 59.94 and 60 Hz without user intervention.
• Time overlay displays to a resolution of 1 microsecond and can be selected to appear in any one of the four frame corners in colors of black, white, yellow and red
• Stamps each frame to a microsecond resolution and 1+/-1 microsecond accuracy; synchronizes with internal time directed GPS receiver or an external IRIG B122 source.
• Precisely aligns with UTC world time to within 30 nanoseconds
• If lock is lost, Kronos maintains time with a maximum drift of 150 Microseconds/hour.
• Camera sync option outputs a tri-level genlock signal that when input to a sync capable camera will phase lock camera picture taking to the GPS or external IRIG B122 reference signal.
• Designed and manufactured in the USA and backed by a two-year warranty.
