Ahead of IBC 2024 in the Amsterdam RAI Convention Center, Sept. 13-16., MediaKind today appointed two executives to lead its sales teams in the Americas region: Lauren Johnson as VP of sales, new media and Sports, and Anthony Busse as VP of sales, broadcasters, cable and telco.
“With the rapid transformation of the media landscape, especially in streaming, SaaS, and D2C, the market demands leaders who can harness innovation and navigate this complexity with a focus on customer success,” said Allen Broome, MediaKind chief executive officer. “Lauren and Anthony bring a wealth of expertise from across the video streaming and cloud-native SaaS industries, making them the perfect additions to our Americas sales team.”
These strategic hires “reinforce the company’s commitment to driving growth and innovation across key market segments and furthering its goal of redefining the future of media delivery with its innovative end-to-end solution, MK.IO. Johnson and Busse will focus on strategic growth and scaling this side of the business, driving MediaKind’s efforts to bring best-in-class solutions to new and existing markets,” MediaKind added.
Johnson brings 15-plus years of experience in video streaming, including roles at Datazoom and MobiTV, where she drove significant revenue growth and led successful sales teams. Her deep understanding of the OTT and SaaS markets will be instrumental in expanding MediaKind’s presence across the Americas.
Busse has more than a decade of experience driving growth and strategic sales in the media technology space. At Quickplay Media and Verizon, he led high-performing teams and helped major clients like Disney and TelevisaUnivision launch new services and hit their business goals. His expertise in SaaS and DTC technologies will be key as MediaKind works to expand its footprint across the Americas.
