NABEF Awards 2018 TAP Participations

The NAB Education Foundation (NABEF) today announced the individuals selected to participate in the 2018 Technology Apprenticeship Program (TAP). TAP exposes technology-focused graduates and young professionals to the broadcast industry through a six-month, hands-on training program that includes a paid two-month internship.

“The need for innovative, technology-proficient talent in our industry is growing,” said NABEF President Marcellus Alexander. “The TAP program addresses this need by attracting and preparing the next generation of engineers and technology professionals for essential roles at radio and television stations.”

TAP participants learn about the latest trends in broadcasting and network with industry professionals at the annual NAB Show in Las Vegas. Participants also become Certified Broadcast Technologists by the Society of Broadcast Engineers and receive training by the International Association for Broadcast & Media Technology Suppliers. The program concludes with a workshop at NAB headquarters in Washington, D.C., where participants will prepare and host a webcast on broadcast technology.
