Net Insight’s Görner On Tap For TVN Award

TVNewsCheck will present one of its 2019 Technology Women to Watch Awards to Larissa Görner, strategic project manager in the office of the CTO at Net Insight.

The award will be presented during the NAB Show on April 9 at 6 p.m. in the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Görner has demonstrated excellence in remote productions, including the Olympics, and she has done distinguished work in product development and consulting. She holds board appointments with AIMS (the Alliance for IP Media Services) and FKTG, Germany’s society for motion picture and television engineers.

“Larissa Görner keeps active in the world of live remote production while also consulting on IP-based and cloud solutions,” said TVNewsCheck Co-founder and Publisher Kathy Haley. “Her combination of skills is formidable and we believe, will continue to serve the industry well at a time of great technological change. We are extremely pleased to be presenting her with the 2019 Technology Women to Watch Award.”

Görner joined Net Insight in 2014, where her work centers on developing solutions and products with a major focus on WAN applications including remote production, distributed production and cloud production. She came to the industry in 2001, launching her career as an R&D engineer at IRT, the R&D institute of public broadcasters in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. She holds both an MBA and a master’s degree in electrical engineering

TVNewsCheck’s Technology Women to Watch Award recognizes women who show significant promise of advancing their industry technologically. It supports the National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation’s Technology Apprenticeship Program, which places graduating engineers, who are women or people of color, in broadcast industry internships.

Previous Technology Women to Watch Award honorees are Deborah Adeogba, now senior media experience manager at Microsoft; Jennifer Leung, now senior director at AppD Labs and Emerging Tech; Anne Marie Rohaly, director of accessibility, Microsoft; Tania Paz, VP of digital media operations and technology at Telemundo Networks; Yvonne Thomas, product manager, Arvato Systems; Sara Kudrle, now senior product marketing manager at Imagine Communications; and Alison Neplokh, now public policy manager at Facebook.
