Ross Video Pulls Out Of NAB Show

It joins Sony, Panasonic, Canon and others is opting out of next month’s gathering in Las Vegas.

Ross Video is joining a growing list of companies withdrawing from onsite participation at the NAB Show in Las Vegas, scheduled to take place next month. Those include Sony, Panasonic, Canon, AJA Video and Bitcentral.

Ross said in a statement: “As time has passed since the revised dates for 2021 were announced, it has become increasingly apparent that the challenges posed by the fluctuating public health situation in Nevada (and elsewhere around the world), travel restrictions into the USA, logistics and general uncertainty among exhibitors and potential attendees are, regrettably, too great to enable Ross to participate.

Ross had a number of new product announcements planned for NAB Show and these will now be shared as part of our Ross Live series of online broadcasts. For more information and to sign up, please visit www.rossvideo.com/live.”

Ross Video Pulls Out Of NAB Show

CEO David Ross says the company is “developing contingency plans and will be virtualizing many elements of the show to ensure that our customers still learn about everything new from Ross.”

Ross Video said today that it is withdrawing from the NAB Show 2020. In its announcement, Ross noted that it has been at every NAB since 1974 “and this has not been an easy decision to take, but we have a clear duty to our employees, our customers and families.

“Ross is not alone in this. Many of our customers and partners have implemented travel restrictions over concerns about the increasing number of COVID-19 cases around the world,” it added.

“I’m disappointed for both our customers and our staff,” said CEO David Ross. “We always enjoy spending time with friends old and new in Las Vegas, and of course it’s always a great opportunity to launch our newest products. However, the coronavirus is obviously the dominant issue and we have to do the right thing. I’ll miss seeing so many familiar faces in the audience during our annual NAB keynote event this year. We are developing contingency plans and will be virtualizing many elements of the show to ensure that our customers still learn about everything new from Ross.”
