TAG To Showcase IP-based Multiviewer/Monitoring Platform

TAG V.S., a global provider of software-based IP monitoring and UHD multiviewers, will demonstrate solutions for the three primary broadcast applications — live production, playout and distribution — at ANGA COM.

The event, Europe’s leading business platform for broadband operators and content providers, will take place June 4-6 in Cologne, Germany. TAG will be demonstrating the advanced features and functionality of its flagship MCM-9000 at the stand of German partner SHM Broadcast, B62 in Hall 7.

TAG said it will be showing ANGA COM delegates how its “game-changing MCM-9000 combines sophisticated technology with simple operation to deliver consistent, reliable performance to applications ranging from sports venues, to multi-location broadcast networks, global satellite cable and telco operations, live production companies and post-production houses.”

The MCM-9000 is an all software IP-based UHD multiviewer and monitoring platform that supports compressed, uncompressed and OTT — including HLS and MPEG-DASH and is also uniquely optimized to address the SMPTE ST-2110 and ST-2022-6/7 standards in HD and UHD — all on the same platform.

The MCM-9000 runs on COTS hardware, making it easy to implement and adds cost efficiency to its long list of benefits. The entire scalable solution is supplied on a dongle equipped with a reliable and stable Linux kernel. The system boots directly from the provided flash, which requires no installation, no hard drive or any type of operating system on the server. The system also can be configured in a virtual machine (VM) environment with a VM image provided instead of a dongle.

TAG will be represented by Adi Itzhaki, who was recently named VP sales EMEA; and Linda Lachkar, sales operations manager, at the SHM Broadcast stand.
