TVNewsCheck will gather winners of the 2022 Women in Technology Awards for a wide-ranging conversation during a webinar, Technology Predictions for a Changing Industry, set for April 13 at 1 p.m. ET.

Speakers will include Judy Parnall, head of standards and industry at BBC and a world leader in the IP transition and R&D; and Sharri Berg, president of Fox Weather and COO, news and operations at Fox Television Stations, herself a leader in multiplatform development and technology operations. Both are 2022 recipients of the Women in Technology Leadership Award.

Joining Parnall and Berg will also be Kelly Abcarian, EVP of measurement and impact at NBCU, who is leading an effort to modernize audience measurement, and Anupama Anantharaman, VP, product management, Interra Systems. Anantharman, who is a leading innovator in the field of video monitoring, and Abcarian will receive 2022 Women in Technology Futurist Awards.

Rounding out the webinar will be Diane Strutner, founder and CEO of Datazoom, a company that consolidates and makes sense of the many sources of audience and advertising data used in streaming media, and Kylee Peña, manager of creative technologies program management at Netflix. Peña, who comes from a post-production background and has brought her expertise in operations management to the streaming giant, and Strutner are recipients of the 2022 Technology Women to Watch Award.

“It may seem counterintuitive to take a group of people who are experts in very different fields and have them converse on emerging trends, but it works because their fields converge and overlap in a changing industry,” said Kathy Haley, TVNewsCheck’s co-founder and publisher, who will moderate the Technology Predictions webinar. “Each year when we gather the Women in Technology Awards honorees for a webinar, we land a ground-breaking conversation. I’m looking for another one this year.”
