Michele Gors Upped To GM Of KEYC Mankato

Gray Television choses the news director of its KTTC Rochester, Minn., to succeed the late Ed Woloszyn as head of its CBS-Fox affiliate.

Gray Television today promoted Michele Gors to general manager of CBS-Fox affiliate KEYC Mankato, Minn. She succeeds Ed Woloszyn, who died Sept. 2 following a brief battle with cancer. She begins her new role on Nov. 15.

Gors is an Emmy-winning broadcast professional with more than three decades in the industry. Since the summer of 2019, she has been the news director of KTTC (NBC) in Rochester, Minn., which Gray recently acquired from Quincy Media. She has served as a news manager and news director in several markets including Memphis (WREG), Tampa (WTSP), Las Vegas (KTNV) and Wichita, Kan. (KWCH), among others.

She was president/CEO of PBS member station KPTS Wichita. She is a member of RTNDA, and a fellow with the Carole Kneeland Project for Responsible Journalism. Michele has also served on several nonprofit boards.

Mike King, Gray’s senior vice president, said: “Michele has done an outstanding job managing the dominant KTTC newsroom in Rochester and will now bring her passion and expertise to the KEYC team.”
