WEEKLY SYNDICATION RATINGS ROUNDUP

Magazines On The Move, Led By ‘ET’

The leader, and one of four shows in the genre to post week-to-week ratings gains in the session ending June 27, climbed climbed 11% to a 2.0 live-plus-same-day national rating, and rose 33% among women 25-54.

Entertainment magazines were the hottest shows in the first week of summer — the session ending June 27 — with all of the top four scoring double-digit increases.

Entertainment Tonight led the charge, climbing 11% to a 2.0 live-plus-same-day national rating, and leaping 33% among women 25-54, according to Nielsen.

Access Hollywood also surged 33% in the advertiser-coveted demo and racked up a 14% improvement to a 0.8 in households, tying TMZ, which added 14%.

Extra had the biggest percentage increase in ratings, surging 17% to a four-week high 0.7.

Closely watched Jeopardy recovered 4% to a 4.9 with Savannah Guthrie guest hosting for a second go-round. That beat Wheel of Fortune, which faded 2% to a 4.7, but did not threaten syndication leader Family Feud, which picked up 4% to a 5.9.

Daytime programs were faced with preemptions for news of Derek Chauvin’s sentencing on June 25. In addition, some shows were blacked out in Miami on June 24 and 25 for coverage of the Surfside condo collapse.

BRAND CONNECTIONS

Judge Judy went into repeats on all five days, dipping 4% to a 4.8, but still crushing the court shows for the 1,292nd consecutive week, dominating daytime and ranking as the third highest show in syndication.
