Status Quo The Word For Most Of Syndication

For second week in a row there was very little movement in syndication during the session ending March 14 with hardly any shows moving by more than a tenth of a rating point in the national Nielsen household ratings.

No talk shows advanced. Live with Kelly and Ryan led the genre at a 1.8, but was down 5%. Dr. Phil at a 1.7, down 6%, came in second. Both were a tenth apart the week earlier as well as this week, but in the reverse order.

Maury posted an unchanged 1.0, followed by Ellen DeGeneres (0.9) and Wendy Williams (0.7), with both down 10%.

Next was the group of Kelly Clarkson (0.8, -11%), Tamron Hall (0.8 unchanged) and Rachael Ray (0.8, unchanged), followed by Steve Wilkos (0.7, -13%) and Dr. Oz, flat at a 0.6.

And just-renewed newcomer Drew Barrymore remained unchanged at a 0.5.

All the top game shows went down. Jeopardy (-5%) landed in a tie with Wheel of Fortune (-2%) at 5.6, while Family Feud finished at a 5.4 (-5%). The other games were unchanged with 25 Words of Less steady at a 0.7 and Funny You Should Ask stable at a 0.4.

Among court shows, reigning queen Judge Judy was tops at a 5.2, off 4%. Hot Bench was unchanged at a 1.6. Also unchanged were People’s Court (0.9) and Judge Mathis (0.7).

Judge Jerry was one of the few courtrooms to advance, climbing 17% to a 0.7. Divorce Court slipped 17% to a 0.5.

The only major magazine show to increase was Entertainment Tonight, which rose 3% to a 2.4, landing in a tie with an unchanged Inside Edition for the genre lead. Next was Access Hollywood (1.0, unchanged), TMZ (0.8, unchanged), Extra (0.7, unchanged), Daily Mail TV ( -14% to 0.6, -14%) and Dish Nation (0.3, unchanged).

The top talk shows for the week among women 25-54 were:
