WEEKLY SYNDICATION RATINGS ROUNDUP

‘Tamron Hall’ 300th Episode Drives Ratings Rise

In the session ending April 18, the sophomore Hall strengthened 14% from the prior frame to a three-week high 0.8 live-plus-same-day national Nielsen rating, and rose 33% in the key women 25-54 demo.

Tamron Hall, celebrating its 300th episode on April 14, was a standout in the week ending April 18. While none of the other talkers in the top five was able to score a household rating advance in the session, and the vast majority of syndies went sideways, sophomore Hall strengthened 14% from the prior frame to a three-week high 0.8 live-plus-same-day national Nielsen rating, and rose 33% in the key women 25-54 demo.

Hall featured a daytime exclusive on April 16 with Alleah Taylor who spoke out about the alleged attack by her ex-boyfriend, former Seattle Seahawks star Chad Wheeler. The episode featured women who are using the spotlight to share their stories of domestic abuse to help others.

Live with Kelly and Ryan and Dr. Phil remained tied at the top of the yak pack for a third straight week, with both holding their ground at a 1.7.

Judge Judy continued to clobber the court shows for a head-spinning 1,282nd week in a row, while advancing 2% to a 4.9.

Among the games, things got more competitive as Jeopardy fell in the second week of football star Aaron Rodgers’ tenure as guest host while rivals Wheel of Fortune and Family Feud both gained. The former home of the late Alex Trebek still clung to a narrow lead despite slipping 2% to a 5.5. Wheel forged ahead 4% to a 5.3, tying Feud, which ticked up 2% to a 5.3.

In other access developments, Entertainment Tonight held firm at a 2.2 and finished atop the magazines for a second week, tying sister show Inside Edition, which inched up 5%.
