18 Million Viewers Watch GOP Debate On CNN

Nielsen said on Wednesday this made it the third most-watched among the five GOP primary debates that have taken place so far this year.

NEW YORK (AP) — The Republican presidential debates continue to be a big television draw, with 18 million people tuning in to the confrontation from Las Vegas on Tuesday night.

The Nielsen company said on Wednesday this made it the third most-watched among the five GOP primary debates that have taken place so far this year.

The first one this summer, seen by 24 million people on Fox News Channel, tops the list. But CNN this week exceeded the viewership for the previous two Republican contests, which both aired on financial news networks.

Tuesday’s Republican debate focused on national security issues and fighting terrorism.

Train wrecks and freak shows always get good ratings.

Interesting. Now you admit that the News Content you always claim is causing rating decline…gets good ratings. Interesting how your view changes depending on the story.

Definitely getting time for this show to be cancelled. The name calling, talking over each other, facial expressions, bending the facts and downright lies, are getting very old. I snoozed several times, as did most people I know.

I thought the latest debate was on CNN and not Faux News… your description sounds like an episode of Hannity.. (Queue the angry comments by Mac…)
