20th Names Michael Teicher Media Sales EVP

The former Warner Bros. executive will be responsible for all sales initiatives on behalf of Twentieth Television including ad sales for 20th Century Fox Television and Debmar-Mercury programming. 

Michael Teicher today was named executive vice president, media sales of Twentieth Television, effective Sept. 3.

In this role, Teicher will be responsible for overseeing all sales initiatives on behalf of Twentieth Television including ad sales for 20th Century Fox Television and Debmar-Mercury programming. Based in New York, he will report to Greg Meidel, president of Twentieth Television.

Most recently, Teicher was EVP, media sales, Warner Bros. Domestic TV Distribution.  In this position, he oversaw all of the media sales and branded integration activities of Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution including all off-net and first-run television programs.

Regarding the announcement, Meidel stated: “Michael is a tremendous addition to the Twentieth Television team. Having overseen media sales of some of syndication’s most popular and influential properties, he is poised to bring his strategic thinking and decades of expertise within the ad sales community. Michael will plan, position, and execute advertising strategy and brand integrations for Twentieth Television and Debmar-Mercury.”

Prior to joining WBDTD in 2002, Teicher was SVP, advertising sales, ReplayTV. Prior to that, he was SVP, global client solutions, Turner Broadcasting Sales. Teicher was named VP of global client solutions in 1996, when that unit was created as the sales arm for the Turner Marketing Solutions Group, which was created in 1994 to offer advertisers fully integrated marketing platforms. 

He joined Turner Broadcasting Sales in 1991 as an account executive for ad sales in Turner Sports.  Prior to joining Turner, Teicher was an account executive with Major League Baseball Productions, a television sports syndication company based in New York.
