ABC O&Os Renew MLK Holiday Special

Tim Voit and Sewee Entertainment announced the third season for the MLK Holiday Tribute Raising the Roof. Broadcast affiliates scheduling the 2011 event include ABC O&Os WABC New York, KABC Los Angeles, WLS Chicago, WPVI Philadelphia and KGO San Francisco along with stations from groups including Hearst, Cox, Scripps, Allbritton, McGraw Hill, Raycom and Sinclair.

Raising the Roof — a live event produced by WCVB Boston — celebrates diversity while honoring the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. With concert music from The Boston Children’s Chorus and guests, the program blends spirituals, popular songs and international music. With music as a catalyst, the program features youth from many races, religions and socio-economic levels.
