Adrienne Roark New GM Of KOIN Portland

The former news director at KTVT Dallas will take over LIN’s CBS affiliate in Oregon on June 23.

LIN Media today named Adrienne Roark president and general manager of KOIN, its CBS affiliate, in Portland, Ore. (DMA 22). She succeeds Tim Perry who left the station in December 2013.

Roark has more than 20 years of television experience. She will join LIN Media after spending the last four years as VP-news director of KTVT Dallas. Prior to that role, Roark was news director at WFOR Miami and assistant news director of WESH Orlando, Fla.

In her new role that is effective June 23, Roark will provide strategic direction, leadership and operational management for KOIN and will report to Jay Howell, LIN Media’s VP of television.

Roark is a three-time regional Emmy winner and the recipient of six regional Edward R. Murrow Awards. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from The Ohio State University and her Ethics Fellowship from The Poynter Institute for Journalism.

She is also an active member of several boards and groups, including Investigative Reporters and Editors, Radio Television Digital News Association and The Ohio State University’s Advisory Committee for the College of Arts & Sciences.
