Alex Boyer Named Reporter For KDFW Dallas

Alex Boyer today was named general assignment reporter for Fox-owned KDFW Dallas. He begins on Jan. 4, 2016.

Most recently, Boyer was the lead primetime reporter for KEYE Austin, Texas. Previously, he was a senior reporter and anchor of NBC2 News Now at WBBH Fort Myers, Fla. Prior to that, Boyer was a general assignment reporter and weekend morning anchor for WPLG Miami.

Before that, he was a general assignment reporter for WVIT Hartford, Conn. Boyer began his career as a Hispanic affairs and general assignment reporter for WGGB Springfield, Mass.

A graduate of the University of Florida in Gainesville, Boyer holds a Bachelor of Arts in telecommunications news and a Bachelor of Science in sociology. He also has a certificate in media law from Yale University and a certificate in online news writing and reporting from Internet Broadcasting in St Paul, Minn.
