Alex Sánchez Sobrino New GM Of WTMO-CD

ZGS Communications on Thursday named Alejandro “Alex” Sánchez Sobrino VP-GM of its Telemundo affiliate WTMO-CD Orlando, Fla. (DMA 18), effective immediately. He will report to Ronald J. Gordon, CEO of ZGS.

Sánchez Sobrino started his career as an account executive at KWEX San Antonio, Texas, subsequently working for Telemundo in various sales capacities, including sales manager in Miami.

He was one of the first executives to join Radio Unica Inc., and has also managed stations for LBI Media in Dallas and Entravision in Monterey, Calif.

Sánchez Sobrino was VP of marketing and sales for the Dallas Cowboys where he hosted and produced the team’s show Cadena de Plata.

He has experience in print and digital media as Publisher for both Dallas Morning News‘ Al Día and the Houston Chronicle‘s La Voz.

He joins ZGS after most recently serving as executive vice president of EPMG.
