Alexander ‘Sandy’ Brown To Head One World Sports

One Media Corp. announced today that Alexander “Sandy” Brown has been named president and CEO of its One World Sports division. Brown, who has worked in the media and broadcast industry for more than 20 years, previously was president of Univision Sports.

He will oversee all aspects of the company’s broadcast and broadband businesses, including the ONE World Sports network, the America One television network and the America One Sports broadband platform.   

While at Univision, Brown created and launched Univision Deportes into 15 million U.S. multichannel homes, and spearheaded the network’s landmark ten-year rights renewal agreement for the CONCACAF Gold Cup and the CONCACAF Champions League.

Additionally, Brown has been managing director for ESPN Asia, and ESPN Star Sports; president and chief executive officer of CNBC Asia; president and chief executive officer of Petry Holding and co-chief operating officer of Worldspace. He also oversaw all international television efforts at the National Basketball Association.
