Allyson Meyers Heads 3 Fox Fla. Stations

Fox promotes her from VP-general sales manager of WTXF Philadelphia to VP-GM of WOFL (Fox)-WRBW (MNT) Orlando and WOGX Gainsville.

Allyson Meyers today was named vice president and general manager of Fox-owned WOFL (Fox)-WRBW (MNT) Orlando, Fla. (DMA 19), and WOGX Gainsville, Fla. (DMA 163).

She replaces Dennis Welsh, who was recently named VP-GM of Fox O&O WFLD Chicago. Effective Thursday, Jan. 17, Meyers will oversee all editorial, business and administrative functions for the stations.

Most recently, Meyers was VP-general sales manager of Fox O&O WTXF Philadelphia. Previously, she spent nearly nine years with Tribune Broadcasting.

Earlier in her career, she spent two years as station manager of WSFL Miami, and before that served for one year as VP-Gm of WCWJ Jacksonville, Fla. Prior to this, Meyers spent nearly five years at WBZL (WSFL) Miam, first as national sales manager and then as general sales manager. She has also held sales positions at companies including Cablevision and SportsChannel.

A graduate of the University of Buffalo, Meyers holds a Bachelor of Arts in communication.
