Amanda Barren Returns To WSAZ News
Gray Television’s NBC affiliate WSAZ Charleston-Huntington, W.Va. (DMA 65), announced today that Amanda Barren will be returning to join Bill Murray as co-anchor of WSAZ’s First at 5:00 newscast. Her first day will be Monday, Dec. 17.
Barren anchored WSAZ’s weekend newscasts beginning in 2006 and also was a weekday reporter based in Charleston until July 2010. Since then she has anchored the noon newscasts at WKYC Cleveland.
Before that, she was an anchor, reporter and producer at WJET Erie, Pa.; WTAP Parkersburg, W.Va.; and WOUB-TV-FM Athens, Ohio.
