‘America Now’ Viewership Up 20%

The syndicated newsmagazine strip from Raycom and ITV Studios America is posting strong year-to-year gains across metered markets in the first six weeks of season.

Metered market ratings for America Now, the daily syndicated newsmagazine show co-hosted by Leeza Gibbons and Bill Rancic from Raycom Media and ITV Studios America, have improved 20% through the first six weeks of the new season versus the same period last year.

Airing weekdays in 45 markets, America Now delivers an average of 137,000 households each day — a 1.2 rating/3 share in its 14 metered markets, up from a 1.0/3 a year ago.

Household ratings have risen across America Now’s key markets, including:

  • Birmingham, Ala. (WBRC), which saw a 34% improvement to a 4.7 rating.
  • Louisville, Ky. (WAVE), where ratings leapt +74%.
  • Knoxville, Tenn. (WTNZ), with ratings up 60%.
  • West Palm Beach, Fla. (WFLX), posting a 44% rise.

The series, now in its third season after becoming a weekday strip in 2011, provides a daily guide to better living. It includes offering tests on new products to see if they deliver as promised; tips on finding online bargains; informative stories about the latest health warnings and medical breakthroughs; alerts on consumer scams and recalls; and advice on ways to keep families safe.
