Amy Yates To Head HR For Telemundo O&Os

Telemundo Media today named Amy Yates VP of human resources for the Telemundo Station Group and its national sales office.

Yates will report to Manuel Abud, president of the group, and Lisette Simón, SVP, human Resources, Telemundo Media, and will be based in Miami.

“Amy’s extensive expertise in Human Resources and keen understanding of the Telemundo Media and NBCUniversal organizations make her the ideal candidate to lead the growth of our group of stations,” said Abud in a statement. “She will be an integral part of our executive team as we continue to invest in our stations across the country and develop our key talent to continue to super-serve our communities.”

Since 2006, Yates has worked as director, human resources, General Electric Money and NBCUniversal/Telemundo in Chicago and Dallas.

Yates holds a B.A. in applied psychology from Texas A&M University as well as a master’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology from Elmhurst College.
