Anchor Erika Thomas To Join KFSM News

Tribune Broadcasting’s CBS affiliate KFSM Fort Smith-Fayetteville, Ark. (DMA 99),has hired Erika Thomas as weeknight anchor. She replaces Katelynn Zoellner who left earlier this year to be closer to family in California.

She will start at KFSM in early June and will co-anchor the station’s 5, 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts with Daren Bobb.

Her award-winning reporting and anchoring career has include stints at WKBN Youngstown, Ohio; KMEG-KPTH Sioux City, Iowa; and KOMU Columbia, Mo.

Her awards included a regional Murrow Award for investigative reporting and regional Emmy award for Best Evening Newscast.

Thomas studied journalism and economics at The University of Missouri and graduated with summa cum laude honors.
