‘Anderson’ Renewed For Second Season

Fox Television Stations reup the talk show in Los Angeles, Chicago and Boston, and add it in New York, Minneapolis and Tampa. It’s also renewed on stations from LIN, Meredith, Gannett and Midwest Television.

The Fox Television Stations have renewed Warner Bros. freshman, one-hour talk show Anderson for its stations in Los Angeles (KTTV), Chicago (WFLD) and Boston (WFXT) and has acquired the series for its stations in New York (WNYW), Minneapolis (KMSP) and Tampa, Fla.  (WTVT).

In addition, the series has been renewed by incumbent stations owned by LIN in Indianapolis (WISH-WNDY); Hartford, Conn. (WCTX-WTNH); Norfolk, Va. (WAVY); Austin, Texas (KXAN-KNVA); Buffalo, N.Y. (WIVB); Providence, R.I. (WPRI-WNAC); Dayton, Ohio (WDTN); Toledo, Ohio (WUPW); and Terre Haute, Ind. (WTHI).

The series has also been sold for a second year to Midwest Television for its KFMB San Diego; Meredith for its KPHO Phoenix, KVVU Las Vegas and WNEM Flint, Mich.; Gannett in Jacksonville, Fla. (WTLV-WJXX): The Lilly Group in Erie, Pa. (WSEE-WICU); and Sun Broadcasting for its WINK-WXCW Fort Myers, Fla.

In its first season, Anderson has been airing in New York on Tribune’s WPIX at 4 p.m. WPIX will replace it with Twentieth Television’s new Ricki Lake talk show.
