Andre Hepkins Joins WBAL News Team

Hearst’s NBC affiliate WBAL Baltimore (DMA 26) is adding Andre Hepkins to its news department beginning in mid-October.

Hepkins will join Donna Hamilton weekdays at 5:30 p.m., while also bringing viewers breaking news and trending stories from the breaking news desk at 6 and 11 p.m.

In addition, Hepkins will also co-anchor WBAL-TV 11 News at 10PM on the station’s MeTV Baltimore subchannel with Deborah Weiner.

Hepkins comes to WBAL from KMOV St. Louis, where he anchored the station’s weekday morning newscast and also served as a reporter.

He also worked as a reporter and anchor at WSVN Miami.

Hepkins, a New York native, previously reported for WNYW New York; WFSB Hartford, Conn.; and WMGM Atlantic City, N.J.

A graduate of Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y., he holds a BA degree in social sciences.
