Antenna TV Diginet Adds WMYD In Detroit

Tribune’s multicast entertainment network is now cleared on 125 affiliates reaching 88% of U.S. homes.

Antenna TV, Tribune Broadcasting’s digital multicast channel, is adding WMYD, the Scripps Media owned station in Detroit, beginning Feb. 1.

Antenna TV will be available over the air on WMYD’s dot 2 as well as on Comcast and Wide Open West Cable.

“Detroit is an important piece to completing our large market coverage and we’ve been working hard to get a strong station to bring Antenna TV to cable homes and over the air viewers. We’re happy to partner with WMYD in the market,” said Sean Compton, president of strategic programming and acquisitions, Tribune Broadcasting & Antenna TV.

This year, Antenna TV has expanded to clearances on 125 stations across the country (including 49 of the top 50 markets) bringing the network’s reach to 88% of TV households.

It appears Austin, TX is the one Top 50 market missing for Antenna TV. The market lacks Me-TV as well.
