Anvato Deploys TVE Solution At More Stations

TV Everywhere platform provider Anvato today announced that Hubbard Broadcasting, Heartland Media and Fort Myers Broadcasting Co. have selected Anvato’s Media Content Platform (MCP) to power their online and mobile video services.

These deployments not only deliver live and on-demand video streaming for local viewers but also enable capabilities including clip creation, social syndication and digital ad insertion.

Anvato is now powering TV Everywhere for well over 100 TV stations nationwide, including many of the leading station groups, owned and operated network stations and affiliates.

With this solution, broadcasters can deliver live and on-demand content to any screen — iOS or Android, PC or Mac — with a single software-based platform and technology stack. Anvato Live Capture clip editing and closed caption decoding allows for quick and seamless creation of files for on-demand consumption.

“Anvato has helped us to post more video, faster and with higher efficiency to all platforms,” said Justin Strauss of Fort Myers Broadcasting. “With Anvato, we are able to do everything we need for our online and mobile video services, and provide outstanding streaming quality to our viewers.”

Michelle Liddy, director of digital media for Heartland Media, said: “Anvato’s reputation in the television broadcast industry is impeccable. Still, we had a steep set of requirements to meet as we built out the TV Everywhere experiences for our stations. Anvato helped us create the best of breed experience that traverses all screens—handset to tablet, laptop to living room.”

BRAND CONNECTIONS

And Kurt Christopher, digital media director for Hubbard Broadcasting, said: “We set out to update our solutions for video clip cutting, syndication and digital ad insertion with the bar set high. We had a long, detailed evaluation process, and Anvato scored highest in the end and earned our business.”

Anvato says it is able to align all needs and requirements — from signal acquisition and ingest, to closed caption decoding, real time highlight and clip cutting, and playback on any screen with monetization through digital ad insertion — all in one solution.

This approach, it claims, “mitigates risk, reduces technology integration issues, and adds scale to an organization’s video workflow, regardless of the organization’s size.”

“At Anvato, we are committed to helping broadcasters, content owners and service providers optimize their video streaming delivery while enabling a wide range of advanced functionality such as real-time HD clip creation and ad insertion,” said Alper Turgut, CEO of Anvato. “Whether our customers operate one station or dozens of channels, Anvato MCP scales very efficiently, can support millions of concurrent viewers and is extremely simple to install and manage.”

I wonder why there’s no mention of an authentication layer? If that’s not part of this, it’s not really TVEverywhere, or without a paywall, it’s not OTT either. It’s…streaming video. Nothing wrong with that but there’s an emerging jargon confusion problem with coverage of this field.
