Ashley Roberts Named Host Of NBC’s ‘1st Look’

NBC Owned Television Stations today named Ashley Roberts  the new host of NBC’s 1st Look starting in January 2016. Roberts, former member of one of the pop group The Pussycat Dolls, will make her debut as host of 1st Look on Saturday, Jan. 9 following Saturday Night Live with a special “Awards Season Kickoff” show. Current host Audrina Patridge will continue in her role through the fall 2015 season.

1st Look is NBC’s lifestyle travel show that is produced by NBC Owned Television Stations’ lifestyle production arm, LX.TV. It airs on more than 200 NBC owned and affiliated stations across the country, as well as on NBC Owned Stations’ digital out-of-home properties, such as taxi cabs, PATH trains, nail salons and American Airlines’ in-flight entertainment.

“We fell in love with Ashley from the first moment we saw her,” said Marni Sabia, VP of lifestyle production at LX.TV. “Ashley’s enthusiasm and energy, coupled with her curiosity, is exactly the kind of host we searched for at 1st Look. We’re excited for Ashley to make this show her own.”

Roberts has traveled the world from performing in sold-out world-wide arenas as a recording artist for The Pussycat Dolls, to living in the Australian Outback as a member of the UK reality television show, I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

Most recently, Roberts has appeared on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, a popular British variety show.

A native of Phoenix, Roberts grew up in a music and art-filled household, moving to Los Angeles right after high school to pursue her dance career. In addition to her on-screen and on-stage work, Roberts also owns a successful clothing line in the United Kingdom and was an ambassador for the cosmetics brand Garnier.
