Barbeau Tapped As Comark’s VP Of Engineering

Hitachi Kokusai Electric Comark LLC, a manufacturer and supplier of DTV transmitters, encoding systems, and associated field services for over 45 years, has announced that Tom Barbeau has joined the organization as VP of engineering.

A familiar face at Comark, Barbeau held a position at the company as an Embedded System Engineer for 11 years. He is returning to the team after transitioning to Thomson Video Networks in 2010 where he performed as a senior systems engineer up until last year. Prior to his position in communication technologies he helped develop guidance system components for the defense, aerospace, and commercial industries.

Beyond the private sector, he is notable for his accomplished 28-year career in the military, rising to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel of the US Army Reserves and serving in one combat tour in Iraq.

“We are pleased to have Tom back with us in his new position,” according to Dick Fiore, President of Comark. “His broad experience over the years will serve to help our customers have the best products, innovative systems, and great support.”
