Bill Melugin Named WJZY Anchor/Reporter

Fox-owned WJZY Charlotte, N.C. (DMA 24), has added Bill Melugin as evening anchor/reporter. On Feb. 2, Melugin will debut as co-anchor for the station’s 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts.

Most recently, Melugin has been a reporter/fill-in anchor for KFOX El Paso, Texas, for the past two years. Previously, he was a reporter/anchor for Cronkite NewsWatch in Phoenix. Melugin began his career as an intern for KNXV-TV in Phoenix.

A graduate of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, Melugin holds a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and a minor in Spanish linguistics.
