Bill Mondora Named KTTV News Director

The former CBS news executive succeeds Kingsley Smith as VP at Fox’s Los Angeles O&O.

Bill Mondora  today was been named VP and news director of Fox-owned KTTV Los Angeles (DMA 2). Starting April 7, Mondora will be responsible for overseeing all editorial, business and administrative functions.

He succeeds Kingsley Smith who resigned in October 2013.

Mondora comes to Fox from CBS, where he was the director of news and administration for CBS Newspath. During his 24 years there, Mondora also served as deputy director of news for CBS TeleNoticias.

Prior to that, Mondora was a managing editor at WCPX Orlando, Fla. Earlier in his career, Mondora worked for KWTV Oklahoma City and KTOK-AM Oklahoma City and WCFL-AM Chicago.

A graduate of Northwestern University, Mondora holds a Bachelor of Science in journalism.
