Bisceglia, Jordon, Altman To Head Katz Units

The rep firm announced new executive positions today. Dave Bisceglia will be EVP of Eagle Television Sales. Chris Jordon will be EVP of Continental Television Sales. Artie Altman will be EVP of Millennium Sales and Marketing.

Four weeks after the shakeup that resulted in the ouster of longtime president Jim Beloyianis, Katz Television Group today announced the executives that will head the three main operating divisions of the rep firm.

In the new order:

  • Dave Bisceglia will be EVP of Eagle Television Sales. He was VP, director of sales, Eagle TV in Chicago.
  • Chris Jordon will be EVP of Continental Television Sales. He was SVP of the unit.
  • Artie Altman will be EVP of Millennium Sales and Marketing. He was SVP on the Millennium’s Sinclair unit.

All three will report to Craig Broitman and Leo MacCourtney, who were tapped to replace Beloyianis as co-presidents. Broitman had been chief of Millennium Sales; MacCourtney, of Eagle.

MIchael Spiesman, who had been head of Continental, lost his job at the same time as Beloyianis.

Bisceglia started his career at Blair Television, where he worked for 24 years in various roles of increasing responsibility, including research analyst, account executive, team manager and director of sales. He spent 18 years in Blair Television’s New York office before transferring to Chicago in 2001. Bisceglia joined Eagle TV in 2007 in the Chicago office. He is a graduate of Syracuse University and a member of the Media Ad Club of Chicago.

Eagle TV represents 43 major television stations across the country, reaching more than 30% of all U.S. television households and covering parts of 31 states and Washington.

BRAND CONNECTIONS

Jordan began his career in local radio and television as an account executive for WTTM Trenton, N.J., and WWHT Newark, N.J. In 1981, he briefly joined Spot Time Ltd., a national representation firm, before signing on as an account executive for Continental TV in 1982.

In 1986, Jordan was promoted to team sales manager for the New York East Team. Two years later, he was named divisional VP, and in 1992 he was promoted to national sales manager, East Station Group. In 1997, Jordan was elevated to VP/GM and, in 1999, he was named SVP. He is a graduate of the University of Dayton.

Continental TV represents more than 185 stations nationwide and maintains sales offices across the country.

Altman started his career as an account executive at MMT Sales in New York in 1986 and was promoted to sales manager in 1994. One year later, Altman joined United Television Sales to run its New York office. After six years, he left to join WPIX New York as a local account executive. In 2001, Altman joined Millennium as a VP.

Millennium was formed when Katz American Television merged with Seltel Inc. Headquartered in New York, Millennium has regional sales offices across the country.
