Bonten Names GM For Abilene, San Angelo

Albert “Bud” Brown today was named vice president and general manager of Bonten Media Group’s KTXS (ABC), KTES-LP (CW) in Abilene, Texas (DMA 164), and KTXE (ABC) San Angelo, Texas (DMA 197), as well as related subchannels and new media initiatives. The appointment is effective Aug. 13. He succeeds interim GM Josephine Brinkley who took over after Kyle Krebs left in May.

Prior to this appointment, Brown was president-GM of WWL New Orleans, capping a long and successful career at Belo Corp. that included president-GM positions in Spokane, Wash., and Tulsa, Okla.
