Bets on Sheen ‘Men’ death

How Charlie Sheen will be written off “Two and Half Men” has become a betting proposition.

An Irish bookmaker is taking wagers on how Charlie Harper — the character played by the unpredictable Sheen — will be dispatched from the top-rated show this fall.

Driving his car off a cliff — an ending first suggested by a gossip Web site last spring — is the current betting favorite.

Paddy Power, which frequently offers so-called novelty bets on pop-culture events, has placed the odds of car-over-the-cliff exit in the season nine premiere at 11-10.

Most of the bookmaker’s speculations about how Charlie Harper’s absence will be dealt with in the first episode are far-fetched — and betting on them would be ill-advised since the episode will not even be taped until late next week.

Lots could change between the time a bettor puts down his money and the episode hits the air in mid September.

But among the other possibilites are “Jail sentence” (25-1), “Join a monastery” (50-1) and “Gets lost at sea” (66/1).

Here are some of the other options:

Leaves via airport with Rose, 5/4 Gets shot in a crime of pas sion, 3/1 Accidental poisoning, 6/1 Plane crash, 12/1 Struck by lightning, 14/1 Surfing accident, 20/1 Witness Protection Pro gram, 50/1 Elopes with Bertha the maid, 250/1.
