Boots Walker To Retire After 40 Years In TV

Veteran television executive Boots Walker announced her plans for retirement on June 30 following a career in television spanning 40 years. The industry veteran has spent the past five years as vice president of sales for Bellum Entertainment, an independent TV production and distribution company. 

“I’m excited for my friend to enter her next chapter of life but will miss her spirit and enthusiasm on the Bellum team,” says Mary Carole McDonnell, CEO of Bellum Entertainment. 

Prior to her tenure with Bellum Entertainment, Walker worked in local markets including a 16-plus years as director of sales at KENS San Antonio, Texas; five years as general sales manager of WXII Winston Salem, N.C.; and more than 14 years at WYFF Greenville, S.C. 

Walker recently relocated to San Antonio, Texas, where she plans to work with her son on his real estate business.
