Canales To Head Sinclair’s San Antonio Sales

Sinclair Broadcast Group has named Robert Canales director of sales of its San Antonio, Texas (DMA 36), triopoly of KABB (Fox), WOAI (NBC) and KMYS (CW). Canales will start the week of April 8 and report to Dean Radla, GM of KABB and KMYS.

Canales will be responsible for managing the multi-platform sales operations of the three stations. He joins the stations from Belo’s KMSB-KTTU Tucson, Ariz., where he was director of sales and station operations from May 2010 through April 2013.

Prior to that he was local and national sales manager of KHOU Houston from March 2008 to May 2010. Before that he was local and national sales manager of KABB-San Antonio from May 1999 to March 2008.

Canales has a Bachelor of Science in advertising from the University of Texas in Austin and a Master in Business Administration from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio.
