CBS Sports Promotes Sabreen

Dan Sabreen has been promoted to senior manager, communications, CBS Sports, where he will continue to manage publicity for CBS College Sports Network and related CBS Sports programming. Sabreen previously was manager of corporate communications for CBS College Sports Network.

In this expanded role, Sabreen will take on new responsibilities, including the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship, regular-season college basketball and the U.S. Open Tennis Championships for CBS Sports. In addition, he will contribute to the publicity efforts for the Network’s coverage of the NFL, SEC, PGA Tour, including the Mastersâ and PGA Championship, and the CBS Sports Spectaculars as well as other ancillary programming.

Sabreen joined CBS College Sports Network (then CSTV) in 2005 as manager, sports communications. Prior to the CBS College Sports Network, Sabreen worked in public relations at Washington, D.C.-based Sports America Inc. for two years.

Sabreen graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.A. in journalism and mass communications in 2002. After college, he moved to Washington, D.C., and started his professional career with the public relations agency, Goodman Media Inc.
