Change Of Venue For IEEE Broadcast Symposium

The 2013 IEEE Broadcast Symposium will be held in San Diego. The announcement was made at this year’s symposium, which is taking place in Alexandria, Va., Oct. 17-19. It was also announced that the 2014 event will be held in San Antonio, Texas.

The annual IEEE Broadcast Symposium is one of the world’s preeminent technical conferences on broadcasting technology and has historically been held in the Washington, DC area. The decision to hold the Symposium outside of the DC area was made by the Administrative Committee of the IEEE Broadcast Technology Society (BTS), conveners of the annual symposium, “to provide a greater variety of venue and better serve society members located throughout the U.S. and abroad.”

Both the San Diego and San Antonio events will be held in mid-October, with the exact dates and details on location to be announced soon.
