Children’s Group To Honor Fox’s Kevin Reilly

The Fox Broadcasting Co. entertainment president will receive the National Champion for Children Award from the Alliance For Children’s Rights at its 20th anniversary dinner gala.

The Alliance for Children’s Rights, a free legal services organization in Los Angeles devoted solely to protecting the rights of abused and impoverished children, will present the National Champion for Children Award to Kevin Reilly, president of entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Co., during its 20th Anniversary Dinner Gala.

The Dinner Gala will be held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on March 1. Dinner Chairs Cliff Gilbert-Lurie and HBO Entertainment President Sue Naegle are joined by Honorary Co-Chairs Shelli & Irving Azoff, Megan & Peter Chernin, and Megan & Peter Rice. In addition to Reilly’s award, the Francis M. Wheat Community Service Award will be presented to Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP.

Jane Lynch, Emmy Award winning star of Fox’s Glee, will serve as the night’s emcee. Zooey Deschanel, star of Fox’s New Girl will give a musical performance.

Reilly will be awarded the National Champion’s award for his “dedication to the health and well-being of underserved families, and for the unwavering use of his talents to make our community a better place for future generations,” the group said.

Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher partner Scott Edelman will receive the Francis M. Wheat Community Service Award on behalf of the firm for its partnership in enabling The Alliance to significantly expand the availability of free legal services to more than 100,000 vulnerable children in Los Angeles since 1992. The award, named for The Alliance’s founder and partner at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, is given each year to individuals and organizations dedicated to improving the lives of impoverished children.

Each year, The Alliance for Children’s Rights holds a red carpet fundraising dinner to honor the recipient of its National Champion for Children Award. Along with the presentation of the awards, the evening includes a message from The Alliance for Children’s Rights, a video of client stories, live testimonies from families helped by The Alliance, and celebrity entertainment.
