Chris Conroy Named KFVS-WQWQ VP-GM

Raycom Media today appointed Chris Conroy vice president and general manager of KFVS (CBS) and WQWQ-LP (CW) in Cape Girardeau, Mo. (DMA 82).

Conroy joins KFVS-WQWQ from Raycom’s ABC affiliate KAIT Jonesboro, Ark., where he has been VVP-GM since 2014.

Conroy is a 30-year veteran of the broadcast industry. He started his career in his hometown of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and went on to a successful career at television stations in New Orleans; Atlanta; Birmingham, Ala.; and Memphis.

“KFVS and WQWQ make up one of America’s finest legacy media operations, and I’m thrilled to be joining the KFVS family,” said Conroy. “KFVS is known for excellence in media while serving the Heartland. I will work very hard to build on that firm foundation and provide the service our consumers and clients expect across multiple platforms and screens.”

Conroy currently serves on the board of the Arkansas Broadcasters Association.
