Consultant AR&D Adds News Exec Budd McEntee

Local media strategy firm AR&D on Tuesday named veteran journalist and news director Budd McEntee as a senior station strategist. McEntee spent nearly 20 years as the vice president of news at Fox-owned WAGA Atlanta.

As part of the AR&D team, McEntee brings a solid background of experience and a passion for quality journalism, AR&D said. McEntee will be dedicated to a strategic focus on original content, investigative reporting, and owning the big story on all platforms.

McEntee’s career in television news management has also included positions at WHDH Boston; WBBH Fort Myers, Fla.; and WKRN Nashville.

He received his bachelor’s degree from Providence College and his master’s degree from Boston University. He is a former president of the Atlanta Press Club and the recipient of numerous industry awards.
