Cordillera Debuts HD News In Corpus Christi

Its NBC and CBS affiliates, KRIS and KZTV, respectively, are now broadcasting local news in high def from renovated and upgraded studios.

Cordillera Communications is claiming the title of first television group in the Corpus Christi, Tex. (DMA 129), to broadcast its local news product in high definition.

While both KRIS (NBC) and KZTV (CBS) have been broadcasting network and syndicated programming in HD, now viewers can watch local news with state-of-the-art clarity and.

What began with the renovation of the KZTV building on Artesian Street, sparked two brand new sets using HD cameras and HD monitors throughout the two studios.

Cordillera also invested in new control rooms, a cutting-edge news content center, upgraded field cameras and custom high-def graphics.
