Cox Media Group Ohio Makes Exec Moves

Cox Media Group Ohio has named two of its senior managers to lead newly created organizations.

James Cosby has been named to the new position of VP of media sales, Dayton region. Cosby, who has been serving as the VP of broadcast sales for television and radio, has assumed the additional responsibility for publishing and digital sales.

Cosby will be responsible for Dayton and Springfield sales teams representing all Cox Media Group Ohio media platforms. Cosby has nearly 30 years of experience in the media industry, beginning as a sales manager in the television industry. Cosby, who has held a succession of management positions of increasing responsibility, will report to Rob Rohr, SVP of sales.

Andy Blizzard has been named CMG Ohio’s VP of audience value. In this new position, Blizzard will be responsible for CMG Ohio’s circulation and consumer product sales, community engagement and event management, as well as publication of CMG Ohio’s specialty print products. Blizzard will also be responsible for strengthening CMG Ohio’s relationship with the Wright Patterson Air Force Base business community.

Blizzard began his career working for Dayton Newspapers Inc. and has held a number of positions in circulation, advertising sales and advertising sales management for Cox Ohio Publishing and Cox Media Group Ohio. In his new position, Blizzard will report to Donna Hall, SVP of marketing and audience development.
