Cox Sets Leadership At WFXT & WHBQ

Cox Media Group issued a press release this morning welcoming the employees that came along with WFXT Boston and WHBQ Memphis.

Cox picked up the two stations in a swap with Fox Television. For them, Cox gave up its Fox affiliate and companion station in San Francisco, KTVU and KICU.

Tom Raponi, who was general manager of KTVU-KICU, moves across the country to take the reins at WFXT, which goes from a Fox O&O to Fox affiliate.

In Memphis, Cox is sticking with GM John Koski.

“Countless hours of hard work have taken place over the last few months to prepare for today, and I want to thank everyone at Cox Media Group, in Boston and in Memphis who made today a reality,” said Jane Williams, CMG’s EVP of television.
