COX TV NAMES NEW GMs FOR ATLANTA, ORLANDO
Bill Hoffman will succeed the retiring Greg Stone as VP and general manager of Cox Television’s flagship WSB Atlanta, effective March 3. Hoffman is currently VP and GM at Cox’s Orlando duopoly, WFTV and WRDQ.
And stepping up to replace Hoffman in Orlando will be Shawn Bartelt, now director of sales for Cox’s two Charlotte, N.C., stations, WSOC and WAXN, and a one-time broadcast journalist.
Hoffman and Bartelt will report to Bruce Baker, executive vice president of Cox Television.
Stone began his career at Cox’s WSOC Radio in 1963. “Greg has been a pillar at Cox and contributor to the community at large,” said Andy Fisher, president of Cox Television. “He embodies the best of broadcasting.”
