Cozi TV Brings On Three New Affiliates

The NBC multicast network now has more than 80 affiliates serving nearly 75% of the U.S.

NBC-owned diginet Cozi TV is adding three new affiliates, offering its classic TV lineup on the multicast channels of KCVU Chico-Redding, Calif. (DMA 132); WHCQ-LD Greenwood-Greenville, Miss. (DMA 190); and KBVU Eureka, Calif. (DMA 195), beginning this fall.

With the addition of these three new stations, Cozi TV now counts 82 affiliates, serving more than 84 million homes in 74% of the United States, including nine of the top 10 television markets.

“We welcome our three new affiliate stations to Cozi TV,” said Meredith McGinn, the diginet’s SVP. “This summer, Cozi TV brought back some favorites like Baywatch and Quantum Leap and we are very excited to introduce such a fantastic lineup to an even broader audience.”

Still surprised Media General hasn’t linked up with COZI here in the 757 (DMA 42), perhaps on its Fox affiliate WVBT (or maybe move Bounce from sibling station WAVY over there while the NBC affiliate gets the NBC-owned COZI).

Media General supposed to make an announcement soon when the cozi launch for us that lost livewell, hopefully they tack it on to the rest of their stations that cozi is not in the dma market.

ABC O&Os replaced LiveWell (downgraded to another digital subchannel) with Laff.

ABC O&O’s replaced the standard definition version of LWN with Laff (on the .3). LWN still airs in HD on the .2, albeit in endless repeats.

Wow….for the first time every, no comment about Cozi in Orlando, as if anyone actually cared.

Media General knew last year that Livewell was being taken off….Not bashing Media but add cozi and two more diginets to the .3 and .4 on the respective station
