The new syndicated show is being prepped for next fall and will feature a panel of three judges.
CTD Prepping ‘Hot Bench’ Court Show
CBS Television Distribution is developing a court show from Judge Judy’s Judy Sheindlin called Hot Bench for fall 2014. A spokesperson for CTD would not comment on shows in development.
On the show, a panel of three judges will decide cases. They are: lawyer Tanya Acker who has been a legal commentator on several TV shows, including ABC’s Good Morning America; Los Angeles lawyer Larry Bakman; and Bronx judge Patricia DiMango.
Sheindlin created Hot Bench. The show will be executive produced by Judge Judy EP Randy Douthit.
Judge Judy is now in its 18th season and is the second-most-watched syndicated show so far this season with 9.4 million viewers. It trails only CTD game show Wheel of Fortune.
