CW Joins With Litton For Sat. Morning E/I Block

The CW this October will debut a 10-show, five-hour Saturday morning educational/informational block called One Magnificent Morning from Litton Entertainment with such shows including Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan: Family Edition and Calling Dr. Pol with veterinarian Jan Pol from Nat Geo Wild’s The Incredible Dr. Pol, The CW and Litton announced this today.

One Magnificent Morning will air from 7 a.m. to noon each Saturday, Oct. 4. It will replace The CW’s current Vortexx animation block.

“We are very excited to work with Litton Entertainment for a new Saturday morning block of live-action, educational shows that both children and parents will love,” said CW EVP John Maatta, in a statement.

Other shows in the One Magnificent Morning block include Rock the Park with co-hosts Jack Steward and Colton Smith visiting national parks. Herpetologist Dr. Brady Barr hosts the Brady Barr Experience. Casey Anderson hosts Expedition Wild.

Litton also has been producing ABC’s Saturday morning block Weekend Adventure since 2011. Last September, CBS launched Litton’s block CBS Dream Team … It’s Epic!

What’s next? NBC?? Who watches these Litton shows on ABC and CBS? NOBODY!!! We all know that cartoons are WAY more popular than live action nature shows that no one watches. Bring back the Qubo shows and the Cookie Jar shows.

Well if it is their goal to not have kids in front of the TV so much. They are succeeding in doing so. Unless they flip to Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network.

Increasingly, E/I blocks exist to sell prescription medications to aging baby boomers on Saturday mornings. What that has to do with educating children is a question best left to our Washington overlords.

This is why the FCC needs to be abolished, and the government can go f**k itself!
